Red Hot & Country Comp Team

Red Hot Comp Team

In the months leading up to the Australian Line Dance Championships, the RED HOT & COUNTRY competition team trained a few times a week to improve their skills for the big competition. The team had three new routines to learn, as well as one older routine and Belinda and Kathryn also had solo dances to learn.

Training proved to be fun, but stressful at times and there was sore feet, grumpy dancers and even a few tears. Kathryn and Belinda trained for their first waltz, and with just three weeks prior to the competition, they had coaches in Sam and Kristen teaching them some basic skirt moves to add to their routines. They were very nervous about the moves, but gave it their best, and their waltz routines were great and well received

Then before we knew it it was Tamworth time , and the RED HOT & COUNTRY team were ready to go, all the gorgeous outfits, belts and hats in our RED HOT & COUNTRY colours

The RED HOT & COUNTRY team did great, bringing back 14 medals between them. Kathryn with 6, Belle with 5 and Kelvin with 3

you can see a couple of the RED HOT routines on our youtube channel

Demo's and Instruction

Demo's and Instruction
Think of us for your next function or event !!!

Did you know that RED HOT & COUNTRY can provide demonstrations and line dance/bush dance/partner dance instructions for your next event or function.

We have done a number of events in the past few months, we were invited back to celebrate with the St Marys Town Centre for two of their Christmas events and RED HOT & COUNTRY was voted 'people's choice' for entertainers and won a little prize.

RED HOT & COUNTRY also did the St Marys Spring Festival, Lutheran Church demo, a wedding performance and a singles night in the city. For the singles night, Kelvin and Kathryn did a demo of one of their competition routines from Tamworth, then taught a basic line dance. Kelvin then taught the guys 'bump and grind' and they put on a bit of a show for the girls, then it was the girls turn to 'rope in a cowboy' doing 5,6,7,8. Once they had mastered these, it was time for some partner dancing around the room to say hello to all the attendees as they went around the room. EVERYONE got up and gave it a go and they really enjoyed themselves .... was a fun night.
